Keisha's Dos and Don'ts For A Perfect Day.
I have to sing the praises of Ralph, Lee-Anne and the entire team at Sanojah's for making our wedding day beautiful beyond expectation! From the very first time I spoke to Ralph on the telephone, I turned to my fiancé and said "We have to get this guy for our wedding!" Ralph just did an excellent job of describing the variety they offered on their menu, whilst keeping the traditional aspect of the well-know ‘Bajan’ dishes. But I was not only their exceptional menu, customized to our preferences that led to our ultimate decision, but it was the warmth that emanated from them both and how helpful and accommodating they both were in ensuring that we had nothing to worry about on our very special day. Ralph would respond to every email and every question we asked no matter how miniscule or insignificant we believed it may appear. He and Lee-Anne ensured that they knew exactly how we wanted everything to look and taste on that day to guarantee ultimate satisfaction with the services they offered. We and our guests alike marveled at the décor of the reception venue, with every detail splendidly done. When we entered the venue, having not seen it until the moment we walked in, it took our breath away as to how the orange theme of wedding seemed to vibrate off the very walls!! The food was exceptional with our guests remarking to us the entire night as to how delectable it was. As for their staff…they were professional and simply exceptional. My husband and I would like to thank you Ralph,Lee-Anne and your entire staff for making our day special beyond compare! God Bless you all!
Here are some simple do’s and don’t for any future brides:
Dos
• Be organized-make lists of everything you will need on your wedding day, down to the littlest detail and systematically go about achieving each goal
• Enlist friends and family to assist you, never think you can pull it off all on your own
• Have meeting with all persons who will be playing a part on your day, e.g ushers, bridal , party, bartenders (if providing your own), photographer etc, outlining their roles and your expectations. Never leave anything to chance
• Do find person you can work with and who are approachable (caterers, pastors, photographers, videographer esp). We had several meeting with different videographers before we found one who made us completely at ease and was quite hospitable in manner. And it goes without saying that Ralph (our caterer) was exceptional!
• Do know exactly what you want and be guided accordingly. Too many cooks can spoil your broth and that is one day you don’t want that happening
Don’ts:
• Don’t procrastinate. You will be amazed at how quickly that day will come and you will scrambling to get things in place. The key to a successful wedding is early & proper planning and coordinating.
• Don’t allow anyone or anything to mar your day. It’s your day so set someone responsible and reliable who is capable of handling any unexpected catastrophes that may occur.
• Don’t overdo. Make sure you get some rest before that day so you will be energized to fully enjoy your day
• Don’t compromise easy on what you truly want for your wedding. Find economical alternatives if you can’t afford the pricey stuff.
GOOD LUCK!
