Out-the-box Centerpieces

So, you're flipping through pages of the latest wedding magazines, bombarded with larger than life images of centerpieces, you want to splurge on your wedding flowers, but you don't have the funds for an expensive flower designer to create them?

Who says you have to? Centerpieces can be just as dramatic and offer that sought after wow factor if you just think outside the box.

They say an apple a day keeps the doctor away. But just think of what you can save using them for your centerpieces. Contact your local fruit wholesaler to purchase apples by the case, then for that pop of color add an inexpensive tropical flower like a ginger lily instead of imported roses.

Treat your guests to a pre dinner snack masked as a name card holders.

If yellow is your colour and lemons are in season then make topiaries. This lemon and bayleaf topiary is a great centerpiece. Even if it mean hunting down some bayleaf trees it's worth the adventure not to mention the aromatherapy your guests will enjoy.

Spray paint a dried branch or drift wood to match your colour palette, visit your local craft store for butterflies or birds to accent your branches and you've got the prefect centerpiece to compliment your garden themed wedding.
